the artist

In Leonel Santos sculpture predominates a neo-realist conception, predominantly anthopocentric where body and soul are fused into a whole of relations and proportions, such as reminding the viewer the great Renaissance masters, where volumes more than physical spaces, are states of soul.

His creation recovers and renews the sense of harmony by giving it a touch when, on a voluntary basis, interrupts the current of the visible to transmit to his creations a distortion or subversive penetration, where reveals his creative intuition and simultaneously his soul.

His works are of a splendid realism and simultaneously of a high spirituality that reflect the complexity of the being.
