Veritas – the truth
In Roman mythology, Veritas signifies
truth.
In Greek mythology, Veritas was known
as Aletheia.
Aletheia led a sad life, dissatisfied with
the ever increasing lies between people.
She did not agree with these negative
changes and so began to distance herself
from society, living alone at the bottom
of a holy well.
Many called for her when they were
desperate to find out the truth about
something. She helped them straight
away, but it was like a curse: the person
could never lie again and was destined
to live the rest of their life alone and
isolated…
